Humber LEP Newsletter - December 2018
Season’s greetings from the Humber LEP. Our final newsletter of the year signs off with a word from our LEP CEO, with a column in the Yorkshire Post.
Evaluating the performance of the LEP in driving growth in our region, there is mention of major developments and projects from throughout the last twelve months.
In other news, Velocys, a UK renewable fuels company, has secured the option to acquire a site near Immingham on our Humber Enterprise Zone, where it plans to develop the country’s first commercial scale waste-to-jet-fuel project.
This development adds to the recent announcement of works on phase 1 of a three stage programme of road and cycle improvements in North East Lincolnshire will start soon, thanks to a contribution of more than £2m from the Government’s Local Growth Fund.
