Anlaby and East Ella Flood Alleviation Scheme

The scheme is to provide a large Flood Alleviation Scheme that reduces the flood risk in an economically achievable standard with ranges established by sensitivity testing.

Central Cleethorpes Regeneration Programme

February 1, 2019 - March 31, 2025

This project will strengthen the role of Cleethorpes town centre as the key driver of the visitor economy in North East Lincolnshire and will support efforts to encourage urban living.

Delivering Housing Growth in Hull (2)

September 1, 2018 - March 31, 2029

Hull’s housing-led renewal programme is very well established and incorporates a range of private, community sector and registered provider (RP) partners, which ensures that it is best placed to deliver transformation of the housing market in Hull. Following the success of previous phases of the programme, a large pipeline of sites has been identified to unlock delivery of both new build housing and schemes to refurbish housing post-2018.

Development of Priory Park

April 1, 2018

The project is designed to facilitate the development of the remaining 12 acres (5 hectares) of land  at Henry  Boot Way in West Hull (6 sites) of which approximately 8.5 acres of land are within the Enterprise Zones.

Hessle Foreshore Tidal Defence Scheme

April 29, 2019 - August 31, 2021

The Hessle Foreshore Tidal Defence Scheme involves the construction of new permanent tidal defences adjacent to the Humber Estuary between the Humber Bridge and Livingstone Road. The work is needed in this area as Hessle Foreshore is low lying and it suffered significant flooding in the tidal surge of December 2013, with flooding of up to 1m deep affecting 40 homes and 44 business premises.

Repurposing Hull Old Town

October 1, 2015 - March 31, 2018

Direct intervention to draw investment, bring retail and office space back into use, and attract businesses, visitors and residents into Hull’s historic Old Town. Investment will be centred on revitalisation of Trinity Indoor Market and the surrounding public spaces, whilst making the most of the Old Town’s rich history and architecture.

 

Skills Capital: HETA Advanced Engineering Training Centre

April 1, 2017 - August 31, 2018

Relocation of the Hull centre to a new, larger former manufacturing site. The site requires significant investment to refurbish and repurpose existing buildings to provide enhanced facilities including enlarged workshop spaces, classrooms, IT facilities, industrial training rigs and electronics rigs.

The project will increase the future capacity and breadth of training offered, enabling HETA to deliver higher level apprenticeships and deliver more in-work upskilling for adults.

Skills Capital: Humber Healthcare Academy

July 1, 2018 - October 31, 2020

This project will develop a new, state of the art “Humber Healthcare Academy” at the heart of the Grimsby Institute Campus. The Academy will provide facilities, equipment and underpinning infrastructure to support new employer-led educational pathways with a clear line of sight to careers within the local priority Healthcare sector, including registered nursing, the only dental nursing provision in the Humber and care roles.

Stoneferry Road Integrated Transport Project

December 15, 2017 - September 16, 2022

The project delivers specific interventions to address major congestion ‘hot spots’ on the A1033 growth corridor in Hull. The interventions will provide improved traffic flow, especially at peak periods and improve facilities for public transport users, cyclists and pedestrians. The project includes the use of technology to provide improved communication with users of the network and to monitor traffic flow and air quality and forms an important strand within the project.

Unlocking Hull City Centre Development - Albion Square

April 1, 2017 - December 23, 2021

The project supports Hull City Centre’s transition to new leisure and residential uses. This will be achieved through delivering key development sites and supporting the conversion of empty properties where their traditional use is no longer viable. The project addresses viability issues caused by land conditions, archaeology, contamination, access infrastructure and flood risk.
